Cincinnati survives Tulsa

Desmond Ridder threw for 274 yards and two touchdowns and No. 2 Cincinnati held off Tulsa 28-20 on Saturday.

Alec Peirce had five catches for 113 yards and a touchdown to help the Bearcats (9-0, 5-0 American Athletic) extend the nation's second-longest home winning streak to 25 games.

Shamari Brooks rushed for 132 yards for Tulsa (3-6, 2-3), and Anthony Watkins ran for 105.

When Tulsa was stopped short on fourth down at the 4, it appeared the Bearcats would just run out the clock. But Ridder fumbled on a sneak, giving the Golden Hurricane life.

On fourth-and-goal from the 1, Steven Anderson fumbled as he was reaching for the goal line, and Jabari Taylor made the recovery for a touchback.

The Bearcats beat Tulsa 27-24 on a last-second field goal in the AAC championship game last season.

NORTH CAROLINA 58, NO. 10 WAKE FOREST 55: Ty Chandler ran for career highs of 213 yards and four touchdowns to help North Carolina rally from 18 down in the third quarter to stun Wake Forest.

NO. 13 TEXAS A&M 20, NO. 12 AUBURN 3: Micheal Clemons scored the game's only touchdown on a 24-yard fumble return early in the fourth quarter and Texas A&M beat Auburn. Clemons' scoop-and-score came after defensive tackle Jayden Peevy poked the ball away from scrambling Auburn quarterback Bo Nix.

TCU 30, NO. 14 BAYLOR 28: Chandler Morris threw for 461 yards and two touchdowns in his first start for TCU and the Horned Frogs beat Baylor in their first game without Gary Patterson on the sideline since 1997.

NO. 15 MISSISSIPPI 27, LIBERTY 14: Matt Corral threw for 324 yards and a touchdown to lead No. 15 Mississippi past Liberty and the former Rebels coach Hugh Freeze.

NO. 17 BYU 59, IDAHO STATE 14: Jaren Hall threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns, all in the first half, and BYU demolished Idaho State.

NO. 22 PENN STATE 31, MARYLAND 14: Jahan Dotson caught 11 passes for a school-record 242 yards and three touchdowns, helping Penn State snap a three-game losing streak. Sean Clifford threw for 363 yards for the Nittany Lions.

MEMPHIS 28, NO. 23 SMU 25: Seth Henigan threw for 392 yards and two touchdowns, and Memphis' defense stymied SMU's fourth quarter comeback attempt.

KANSAS STATE 35, KANSAS 10: Deuce Vaughn had a career-high 162 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Skylar Thompson shredded Kansas through the air, going 19 of 24 for 244 yards and a touchdown.

ARKANSAS 31, MISSISSIPPI STATE 28: Dominique Johnson scored the go-ahead touchdown from four yards with 21 seconds left and Arkansas rallied to beat Mississippi State.

MIAMI 33, GEORGIA TECH 30: Tyler Van Dyke threw three touchdown passes and former OU wideout Charleston Rambo had 210 receiving yards to nearly break the Miami single-game record. Van Dyke completed 22 of 34 passes for 389 yards.

ARMY 21, AIR FORCE 14 (OT): Army's Jordyn Law recovered teammate Christian Anderson's fumble at the goal line for an overtime touchdown. After Law's game-saving recovery, the Black Knights (5-3) denied the Falcons (6-3) the end zone when Jabari Moore broke-up Haaziq Daniels' fourth-down pass.

WISCONSIN 52, RUTGERS 3: Graham Mertz threw a season-high three touchdown passes and Wisconsin won its fifth straight game and become bowl eligible for the 20th straight year.

ARIZONA 10, CALIFORNIA 3: Arizona ended the nation’s longest losing streak at 20 games, beating COVID-19-depleted California on Michael Wiley's 10-yard touchdown run with 2:17 left.

PITTSBURGH 54, DUKE 29: Panthers quarterback Kenny Pickett threw for 405 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for a score.
