Coe College women's basketball lands on ESPN's top plays with two deep buzzer-beating shots
If you need points in a pinch with time running out, call Coe College women's basketball. The Kohawks put on a downtown show Wednesday night on the west coast.
Sophomore Alina Anderson hit from just short of the opposing free-throw line to end the first quarter, then watched as sophomore Caydee Kirkham drained a one-handed half-court heave to end the second quarter in Coe's 89-83 win over Pacific University. The two shots together landed at No. 1 on SportsCenter's "Top Plays."

Coe is out west at the UC Santa Cruz Tournament playing inside Kaiser Permanente Arena, home of the NBA G League's Santa Cruz Warriors. The Kohawks are 9-2 after Wednesday's victory.
Kirkham poured in a game-high 31 points against Pacific, while Anderson finished with eight points. No bucket turned heads more than the long-range heaves they turned into celebrations.
