Colts' Quenton Nelson's 'screaming' block was costly
Indianapolis Colts rookie guard Quenton Nelson became Twitter famous on Sunday, after a clip of him screaming while knocking Jacksonville Jaguars safety Barry Church on his duff blew up online.
Turns out, Nelson’s scream wasn’t him at all: the Colts’ social media staff edited the scream in to the now-deleted tweet.
Screaming or not, the move drew the NFL’s attention.
Big fine for rookie
Via ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the league has fined Nelson $26,739 for leading with his helmet on the play.
Nelson is appealing the fine; there was no flag on the play.

Nelson already making an impression
Beyond the impression he left in Church’s chest, Nelson, the sixth overall pick in the draft this year, is leaving a heck of an impression on the league at large: in October, he became the first guard ever named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month.
Nelson has started every game this season for the Colts, and is the only member of the offense to play all 644 snaps. He’s also been on the field for 45 special teams snaps. His teammates love his violence, and his penchant for running downfield to help guys up at the end of plays.
