New Cleveland Browns dawg logo says plenty about city, Northeast Ohio

The new Cleveland Browns dog logo.

In his winning entry for the new Browns logo, designer Houston Mark ensured a taste of Northeast Ohio was found throughout.

Those unique things representative of Cleveland include:

A guitar pick: “Hello, Northeast Ohio, let’s rock ‘n’ roll!” Gee, wonder why?

The outline of the Guardian bridge: Given the reaction to the name change of the baseball team, such an inclusion might cause heart palpitations.

The east endzone: The future home of this logo. The Dawg Pound, created by a couple of tenacious cornerbacks and their lockdown pass coverage.

Among other discernible features: spikes, a football and helmet stripe.

It’s a logo that not only represents the personality, but the city and region as well.

"There was a lot of stuff in there I wanted to incorporate because there's so much history to Browns fandom in particular,” he said via ClevelandBrowns.com “It was really important for me to honor and respect the history of the fanbase, the championships and the pride that comes with being a fan."
