Clemson wide receiver signee T.J. Moore is one of ESPN’s true freshmen to know in 2024
Dabo Swinney and the Tigers desperately needed to address the wide receiver position in their 2024 recruiting class, and they did a great job doing so.
Quality over quantity with this class of wide receivers, as five-star Bryant Wesco and four-star T.J. Moore will look to make an immediate impact for the team. Wesco is on campus and with the program, while Moore will join the Tigers in the summer. There is a lot of hype surrounding these two wide receivers, and the tape I’ve watched leads me to believe that they will live up to it.
ESPN recently named 12 true freshmen to know in 2024 ($$$), with Moore being named as one of those freshmen.
Clemson’s leading receiver this season was Tyler Brown, who was a freshman, and the leader in touchdown receptions was tight end Jake Briningstool. There wasn’t much production behind them, though, and the team ranked 61st in receiving yards per game among all FBS teams with just 228.4 yards, and No. 70 in receiving touchdowns. Moore is a welcome addition in this class, as is receiver Bryant Wesco, who could be included on this list as well. Moore had 1,272 receiving yards and 17 receiving touchdowns as a senior in high school.
Being physically gifted is one thing, but to have an impact at the next level, you need to have technical ability. That is where Moore truly excels, as arguably the best route runner in this class.
Moore could have a huge impact as a freshman.
