Class B No. 1 Warner, No. 3 Northwestern also win; Sioux Valley tops Milbank in five sets

ESTELLINE — Kenzy Beare produced 19 kills, two blocks and 17 digs to ignite the Estelline-Hendricks to a 25-23, 25-10 and 25-21 non-conference high school volleyball win over Hamlin on Tuesday night.

Sadie Johnson contributed eight aces, 33 assists and 24 digs for Estelliine-Hendricks (11-3), which also got 10 kills from Brooke Johnson and two blocks and 14 digs from Presly Bury.

Addie Neuendorf recorded two aces, eight assists, seven kills and two blocks for Hamlin. Marisssa Bawdon pitched in with nine assists, Emily Everson four kills, Addie Jensen two blocks and Grace Opdahl six digs.

Deubrook Area 3, Deuel 0

WHITE — Host Deubrook Area took the match 25-20, 25-13 and 25-16.

Leading the way for the Dolphins were Matte Bauman, 11 kills, 11 assists and two aces; Hannah Kjelden, nine kills and 10 digs; Kyarra Blum, eight kills; Zoey Molengraaf, six kills; Madalyn Bauman, 17 assists; Carly Engelstad, three aces; and Delaney Pedersen, 14 digs.

Deuel received eight kills, 10 assists and 17 digs from Josie Andersen; five kills from Emma Sattler; four kills from Kaitlyn Gubrud; nine assists and three aces from Sara Jo Kreger; 14 digs from Annika Kriz; and 10 digs from Ella Kerkvliet.

Castlewood 3, Great Plains Lutheran 0

CASTLEWOOD — Castlewood won the match 25-15, 25-13 and 25-13 with Presley Knecht and Gracie Haug leading the way.

Knecht went 17-19 serving with six aces, 15 kills and five digs. Haug added 23 assists and five digs. Emerson Carson was 12-13 serving with three aces and seven kills. Karli Akin contributed six digs, Kailyn Larson five digs, Cassidy Kirwan three kills and Ella Hunter one solo and one block assist.

Abby Kjenstad was 10-10 serving with an ace, six kills and 10 digs for GPL. Madeline Prahl made seven assists, Kaitlyn Rawerts six assists and seven digs, Oliva Holmen four kills and one solo and three block assists, Esta Cameron four kills and Grace Powers six digs.

Northwestern 3, Leola-Frederick Area 0

FREDERICK — Third-rated Class B Northwestern improved to 13-5 with a 25-14, 25-15 and 25-8 Lake Region Conference win.

Leaders for the Wildcats included Ashley Haven, 11-11 serving with five aces, 15 kills and 11 digs; Tara Blachford, 15-15 serving with three aces and nine digs; Payton Grandpre, 10-11 serving with three aces and nine digs; Ana Ratigan, seven kills and three block assists; Ella Boekelheide, 28 assists and Nicolette Nickelson, six kills and two block assists.

Warner 3, Groton Area 0

WARNER — Lauren Marcuson converted 12 of 13 serves with three aces, 16 kills and 12 digs to carry top-rated Class B Warner (16-0) to the 25-12, 25-17 and 25-12 victory.

Courtney Bjorgaard was 8-8 serving with 10 digs, Ava Nilson 12-13 with 42 assists and nine digs, and Libby Scepaniak 17-18. Kyra Marcuson chipped in with 11 kills.

Anna Fjeldheim notched seven kills and seven digs, Liz Fliehs 14 assists, Jerica Locke eight digs and Carly Guthmiller seven digs for Groton Area.

Sioux Valley 3, Milbank 2

MILBANK — The Cossacks (9-3) rallied to win the non-conference match 19-25, 19-25, 25-19, 25-17 and 15-11 over the Bulldogs (10-4).

Kaedyn Sapp produced 21 kills and 33 digs to pace Sioux Valley. Adison Renkly added 18 kills and four block assists, Allie Hofer 16 kills, Caitlyn Cradduck 30 assists, Machaela Geraesch 30 assists , Talya Vincent 21 digs and Emma Gorvin and Keyra Kruse each four block assists.

Addisyn Krause went 21-22 serving with five aces and 21 assists to lead the Bulldogs. Skyler Skoog went 17-19 serving with 12 kills. Rachel Schulte added 24 kills, 14 assists and 19 digs; Ella Sandvig and Siera Wenzl 16 digs apiece and Shaylee Schuchard one solo and one block assists.

Madison 3, Arlington 1

ARLINGTON — Audrey Nelson recorded 27 kills and three solo and four block assists for the fifth-rated Bulldogs (12-2), who won 22-25, 25-19, 25-18 and 25-18.

Lydia Nelson contributed seven kills, Karley Lurz four kills and two block assists, Karley Theede 42 assists, Callie McDermott 24 digs and six aces, Amanda Vacanti 17 digs and Grace Fiege two aces for Madison.

Harley Johnson (21 digs), Addie Steffensen (19 kills and 18 digs), Issie Steffensen (35 assists) and Madi Bacon (16 digs) paced Arlington (6-10).

Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Iroquois-Lake Preston 0

IROQUOIS — Katelyn Schroeder tallied 14 kills and 14 digs and Ella Johnson four aces and 10 kills for the Patriots, who won 25-15, 25-18 and 25-18.

Gracyn Bixler added two aces, Lila Johnson 27 assists, Cambree Hoekman 17 digs and Isabel Gilbert three block assists. Schroeder also had one solo and two block assists.

James Valley Christian 3, De Smet 0

De SMET — Addy Knight collected 10 kills and Addison Bartholow eight to spark JVC to the 25-23, 25-22 and 25-18 win.

Maggie Dockter added three aces, Daril Frandsen 11 assists, Cora Hofer two blocks and Andrew Frandsen 25 digs.

Megan Dylla made two aces, 13 assists and six digs for De Smet. Hazel Luethmers added two aces and 10 kills, Ivey Schoenfelder wo aces and four kills, Alyssa Asleson 10 asssits, Mirra Beck 11 kills and 10 digs and and Harper Anderson, nine digs.

Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 3, Freeman Academy-Marion 0

FREEMAN — Julia Trygstad's 12 kills and 11 digs and Alivia Bickett's nine and nine power ORR to a 25-19, 25-14 and 25-11 victory.

Emily Mason added five aces, 14 assists and 11 digs and Rylan Pearson 12 assists.

Miller 3, Redfield 0

MILLER — Heather Resel went 18-18 serving with two aces and 30 assists to spark Miller to the 25-10, 25-15 and 25-20 win.

Other leaders for the Rustlers (11-2) included Journey Palmer, 11-14 serving with three aces and seven digs; Shaylee Anderberg, 12-12 serving with two aces, nine kills and eight digs; Jolie Palmer, 8-10 serving with two aces and 24 digs; Aleah Schlechter, 10 kills and eight digs; Paige Werdel, eight kills; and Gracen Werdel, five kills.

Baltic 3, Elkton-Lake Benton 2

ELKTON — Daynica Witzel smacked 25 kills to help Baltic prevail 25-21, 18-25, 25-18, 21-25 and 15-13.

Witzel also added three block assists and 16 digs, Tenley Witzel 16 digs, Baylee Breece 12 digs, Claire Berg five solo and two block assists and Bailey Telvedal four aces, 43 assists and 24 digs for the Bulldogs.

The Elks were led by Tevan Erickson, 37 assists and 29 digs; Ella Crofutt, 23 digs; Malayna Hemmen, 10 digs; Kylie Ramlo, eight kills, 19 digs and two solo and three block assists; Charlie Thooft, seven kills and 12 digs; Aubree Bales, 13 kills, 19 digs and two solo and four block assists; and Andrea Renkly, 10 kills and 10 digs.

Lower Brule 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 2

MILLER — Lower Brule outlasted the host Crustaders 9-25, 25-23, 25-19, 23-25 and 15-13.

Lydia Lo recorded four aces and three blocks; Betra Amare three aces, two assists and three digs; Annalise VanZee nine kills; Sadie Konechne four kills; and Kennedy Keck five digs for SBA.

Aberdeen Central 3, Huron 0

ABERDEEN — The Golden Eagles (7-3) won 26-24, 25-15 and 25-20 over the Tigers (6-4).

Grace Kuch produced four aces and 10 kills, Kenadi Withers nine kills and one solo and two block assists, Ashley Wangler nine kills, Lauryn Burckhard eight kills, Ayrlie Waldo 24 assists, Sawyer Bahr 15 digs and Madison Miller 15 digs.

Madison Jurgens had three aces, Aly Davis six kills, DaJai Claggett five kills and Hamtyn Heinz two aces and 16 assists for Huon.

Mobridge-Pollock 3, Lemmon 0

MOBRIDGE — Charley Henderson tallied 11 kills and two solo and two block assists and Ryli Thompson 11 kills to carry the Tigers (13-1) to a 25-13, 25-16 and 25-22 win.

Raelyn Aberle added nine kills, Katy Kemnitz 21 assists, Sophia Overland 14 assists and Reagan Weisbeck 13 digs.

Sidney Maher made seven kills, Toree Maher five kills, MiKalah Byre 17 digs and Allie Hohn 11 digs for Lemmon (6-6).

Webster 3, Wilmot 0

WEBSTER — The Bearcats improved to 5-8 with a 25-18, 25-22 and 25-19 win over Wilmot (5-10).

Payton Snell went 14-15 serving with three aces and Jersey Johnson 13-14 with two aces and 11 digs for Webster Area. Gracie Cadwell contributed 12 kills, Kara Kwasniewski nine digs, Erin Sannes four kills and two solo blocks and Mallory Steiner four kills.

Addison Heinje finished with 11 kills and four blocks, Paige Johnson six kills, Julia Anderson three kills and Mya Heinje 24 assists for Wilmot.

Aberdeen Christian 3, Waubay-Summit 0

ABERDEEN — The Knights (4-11) won 25-17, 25014 and 25-15 over the Mustangs (0-13).

Aberdeen Christian leaders were Sawyer Schwan, 15-15 serving with four aces, seven assists and 10 digs; Payton Skarin, 18-18 with four aces; Ari Johnson, six kills and two blocks; Chloe Bosma, four kills; Sophia Eichler, five kills; Alexis Isakson, 21 digs; and Jolie Fogarty, seven kills and nine digs.
