Hamilton 28, Sycamore 21 – FINAL

At least for one night, Jailen Morris is the king of Hamilton.

It seemed as if Sycamore’s comeback was complete after Seth Truter found Gio Garrett to take a 21-20 lead with 19 seconds left in the game. Moods took a complete turn after Morris fielded the kickoff and returned it 90 yards for the game-winning touchdown, leaving just three more ticks on the clock but no more miracle comebacks.

Hamilton led 17-0 in the third quarter thanks in part to a Cournell Bellett-McCoy touchdown and an interception return from Carter Isaacs. A pair of rushing scores from Eugene Harney and the seemingly game-winning pass from Truter to Garrett turned the game around before the heroics from Morris.

Bennett-McCoy led Hamilton with 126 yards on 24 rushes with a score while Harney led the Aviators with 93 yards on 21 attempts with a pair of touchdowns. Truter was 22-38 for 201 yards and a score, but also tossed three picks for Sycamore
