The Colonels got off to a bit of a slow start against Johnson Central on Friday. Miller was the most potent target of the night; he had 10 targets and seven receptions for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Miller had a third touchdown in the game as he ran in a 28-yard score in the third quarter. On defense, Tate Kruer led the team with nine unassisted tackles while the D-line held the Golden Eagles to just 156 yards of total offense.

Ryle 12, Bryan Station 49 – FINAL

Ryle 0 0 12 0 – 12

Bryan Station 14 14 7 14 – 49

Interceptions and a leaky defense caused big problems for the Ryle Raiders in their game against Bryan Station on Friday. Quarterback Logan Verax threw 20-35 for 232 yards and two touchdowns but had four interceptions. In the first quarter, after the Raiders' offense got the ball off a Bryan Station turnover, Verax threw his first interception of the night, and it was returned for a 40-yard touchdown. Even with the interceptions, the Raiders were most effective in the air with 231 passing yards to 114 rushing yards.

The Defenders, on the other hand, were almost nonexistent in the air and relied heavily on their ground game racking up 276 rushing yards and only 53 passing yards. On defense, the Raiders were led by Jacob Savage who had nine unassisted tackles and one sack in the game. Ryle had a burst of offense in the third quarter with two touchdowns and went into the fourth quarter buoyed at 35-12. The wind came out of the Raiders' sails though with a second pick six in the fourth quarter.
