Green Bay Packers beat Cincinnati Bengals in NFL preseason | Replay

The Cincinnati Bengals open the 2023 NFL preseason against the Green Bay Packers at Paycor Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game broadcast will be on Local 12 (WKRC-TV) and the radio call will be on WEBN (102.7-FM) and ESPN 1530 (1530-AM).

Cincinnati is a 4-point underdog and the over/under point total for the game is set at 35.5, according to Bet MGM Sportsbook.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow did a pregame warmup, but will not be playing tonight. The franchise quarterback has been sidelined with a calf injury since July 27.

Jake Browning will get the start at quarterback for the Bengals.

Packers running back Emanuel Wilson broke an 80-yard run for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to give the Packers a 17-point lead.

After a missed point-after-touchdown attempt, the Packers lead 36-19.

The Cincinnati Bengals got another field goal from kicker Evan McPherson, but the Packers responded with another touchdown.

Green Bay scored another touchdown on an 11-yard run by Emanuel Wilson, which capped a three-play, 47-yard drive. The Packers lead 30-19.

Green Bay retakes lead with another touchdown

After the Bengals and Packers traded turnovers, Green Bay drove down the field and converted a 66-yard drive which culminated in a 6-yard pass from quarterback Sean Clifford to tight end Tyler Davis. They lead 21-16.

The combined score thus far is 37 points, which means the over/under total is already over at halftime.

After Bengals safety Tycen Anderson made his second interception of Packers quarterback Sean Clifford, Green Bay's defense answered thanks to another GCL alum.

Packers cornerback Carrington Valentine, a Moeller alum, intercepted Bengals quarterback Jake Browning in Packers' territory to get the ball back for the Packers.

Bengals take lead on third Evan McPherson field goal

The Bengals followed up safety Tycen Anderson's pick six with a field goal on their following possession.

McPherson made a 39-yard field goal after a nine play, 39-yard drive by the offense.

Bengals' defense scores first touchdown of preseason

Second-year safety Tycen Anderson scored the first touchdown of the Bengals' preseason with a pick-six off Green Bay Packers quarterback Sean Clifford.

Anderson scored from 43 yards and Evan McPherson converted the point-after-touchdown attempt to make it a 14-13 Packers lead.

Bengals score another field goal, trail Packers by 8 points

The Bengals again responded to a Packers touchdown with a field goal. Bengals kicker Evan McPherson made a 51-yard field goal to make it 14-6 Packers.

Bengals quarterback Jake Browning is now 5-for-7 for 59 yards.

Green Bay Packers increase lead to 10

The Packers responded to the Bengals' first score with another touchdown drive, this time led by St. Xavier alum Sean Clifford.

Clifford was 4-for-5 for 52 yards on his first NFL preseason drive, which was capped off with a 1-yard run by Tyler Goodson.

Cincinnati Bengals get on the board with a field goal

Bengals quarterback Jake Browning led a drive into Packers' territory, which stalled in the second series for the offense.

Kicker Evan McPherson made a 38-yard field goal to make it 7-3 Packers.

Browning is 3-for-5 for 50 yards thus far.

Green Bay Packers strike first to take lead over Cincinnati Bengals

After the Packers and Bengals traded scoreless drives, Green Bay started its second drive of the game inside Cincinnati territory.

Packers quarterback Jordan Love capped a seven-play, 43-yard drive with a 9-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Romeo Doubs. The Packers lead 7-0 after converting the point-after-touchdown attempt.

It's worth noting the Packers played their offensive starters for the game's first two series.
