Cincinnati Bengals make top 5 on popular NFL power rankings list after beating 49ers

The Bengals moved from No. 12 to No. 10 this week on USA TODAY's list. NFL reporter Nate Davis said Burrow looked "quite spry and highly accurate" against the 49ers.

ESPN NFL power rankings: No. 11 (🔺2)
ESPN ranked the Bengals at No. 11, up two points from their No. 13 slot last week. The outlet pointed to Burrow's Week 8 stats as evidence, including the QB's career high single-game completion percentage.

"Maybe the Bengals are back," NFL and betting writer Frank Schwab writes. Yahoo moved the Bengals from No. 12 to No. 10 this week, and is looking ahead to their Week 9 contest against the Buffalo Bills as a season-defining game.

Sports Illustrated NFL power rankings: No. 5 (🔺1)
The Bengals are a top 5 league contender, according to Sports Illustrated. Reporter Conor Orr noted the team's performance against San Francisco and added, "It would not be surprising to see them at No. 1 in the power rankings at some point soon."
