Cincinnati Bengals re-sign running back Trayveon Williams

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Monday they re-signed running back Trayveon Williams to a one-year contract.

Williams will enter his sixth season with the team that drafted him in the sixth round in 2019. Williams has averaged 5 yards per carry in his career and played in 51 regular season games.

The NFL's legal tampering period begins at noon Monday. Wide receiver Tee Higgins has requested a trade after the Bengals placed the franchise tag on him. Offensive tackle Jonah Williams requested a trade before the 2023 season as well, but ended up playing for the team last year.
