Christ School boys basketball star Bryson Cokley decommits from Wake Forest

Christ School basketball star Bryson Cokley announced on Instagram on Wednesday he had decommitted from Wake Forest.

"After talks, I will be decommitting from Wake Forest University and reopening my recruitment," Cokley wrote. "My contact will be in my bio. Thank You to the staff over at WFU."

Christ School coach Josh Coley declined to make Cokley available for an interview.

The 6-foot-6, 185-pound senior had been committed to the Demon Deacons since Oct. 28.

He was one of the Greenies' top players as part of the NCISAA 4A state championship team in early March.

Cokley averaged almost 10 points, three rebounds and two assists per game. He was most lethal beyond the arc, hitting 54 3-pointers on 38% shooting.

Besides Wake Forest, he holds offers from Appalachian State, Georgia State and San Diego.
