Chris Paul posts double-double, Clippers easily get by 76ers

In a spectacular all-around effort, Chris Paul put up 24 points and added 12 assists and eight rebounds to help the Los Angeles Clippers crush the Philadelphia 76ers, 127-91. The Clippers shot 46-85 (54.1%) from the field and turned it over on only eight possessions. This is the third straight win for Los Angeles (23-11).

Paul finished 7-11 (3-5 from three-point range) and 7-7 from the free throw line, in a quality performance offensively. Jordan Farmar contributed 13 points and six assists for Los Angeles as well. Tony Wroten had another big game for Philadelphia in the loss, scoring 27 points on 8-21 shooting (2-8 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 9-10 from the free throw line. He also recorded seven assists.

Los Angeles avoided turning the ball over, even against a Philadelphia defense that forces the league's most turnovers (opponents' TO% of 16.8%). The Clippers finished this game with a TO% of 8.3%, and commit the fourth-fewest miscues in the NBA (TO% of 12.3%) thus far this season. The Clippers combined an eFG% of 62.9% with 40.5% 3-point shooting. They are 10-1 this year when registering marks above 55% and 40% in those respective statistics. The 76ers, on the other hand, are winless (0-8) when allowing opponents to hit those marks.

Philadelphia (4-28) has now dropped their last five straight.

Coming up, the Clippers square off with the Atlanta Hawks, who are 25-8 on the season. The 76ers meet the Cleveland Cavaliers, currently sitting at 19-14 this year. The Clippers have a 0-1 record against Atlanta this season.
