Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes latest athlete to drop into Fortnite as part of its Icon Series

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes will be the latest sports icon dropping into Fortnite as a part of their Icon Series.

He’ll join Lebron James, Naomi Osaka, Neymar Jr., Harry Kane, Chloe Kim and Marco Reus as the other professional athletes to have been featured in the Icon Series.

There are three skins that Fortnite players can collect in addition to Mahomes’ default “practice” skin. They’re described as follows:

• Gladiator Mindset Style: Shades on and arm enhanced.

• Gameday Gladiator Style: Fear not a sack or pass rush

• Mahomes Saucy Style: Ketchup-embellished outfit

There are also four accessories that fans will be able to collect:

• Gridiron Gladiator Back Bling: Suit up for battle. (Included with the Patrick Mahomes Outfit.)

• Snap Axes Pickaxe: Expertly handled. (Glows red when swung!)

• Endzone Elite Wrap: Gear for your gear.

• Showtime Emote: Back in the game.

Fortnite also announced a way to earn the Mahomes’ skin in the game before it officially drops in their store. “The Patrick Mahomes Cup” is a Zero Build Squads tournament that takes place on Tuesday, Aug. 23. Teams can compete for a chance to earn the Patrick Mahomes Outfit and Gridiron Gladiator Back Bling early.
