Chiefs Let One Get Away Against Raiders, 24-20
The Chiefs lost to the Raiders, 24-20, at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.
Alex Smith found the end zone two times on 20 of 36 passing for 234 yards and no interceptions. Derek Carr ended up going 18 of 35 with 174 yards passing, one touchdown and no interceptions for the Raiders.
Jamaal Charles was a standout player for the Chiefs, rushing for 80 yards on 19 attempts in addition to four receptions for 42 yards and a score. In the fourth quarter, he broke free for a 30-yard catch and score. Travis Kelce snagged four passes for 67 yards.
The Kansas City defense gave up 174 yards passing and 179 rushing. They tackled Carr for a sack.
Raiders running back Latavius Murray was impressive, racking up 112 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Wide receiver James Jones also performed well with 47 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Next week, the Chiefs host the Broncos (7-3) while the Raiders head to St. Louis to face the Rams (4-6).
