Chiefs' Bowe says he's a go for playoff game
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe received to go-ahead to play Saturday in an AFC wild-card game against the Indianapolis Colts, but rookie right tackle Eric Fisher did not practice on Tuesday and might miss the playoff opener.
Bowe sat out the Chiefs' regular-season finale against the San Diego Chargers last Sunday because of a concussion. He returned to practice on Tuesday.
"I'm fine," Bowe said. "I had minor headaches. It was nothing big. The coaches were going to rest me anyway, so I had a good time to rest and recover and be fresh for this game. That was the game plan.
"I didn't feel as bad as other people felt when they had a concussion. I just felt a little tired. There wasn't any dizziness or problems with vomit or none of that stuff. It was mainly just fatigue."
Bowe had 57 receptions for 673 yards and five touchdowns during the season.
If Fisher is unable to play because of a groin injury, he likely would be replaced by Donald Stephenson, who started seven regular-season games. Left tackle Branden Albert is slated to return this week after being sidelined for four weeks with a hyperextended knee.
