Vikings' Justin Jefferson on IR, could miss 4-6 weeks
One important factor at play in this game will be the absence of Minnesota wide receiver Justin Jefferson, missing action for the first time since being drafted by the Vikings in 2020.
Jefferson is set to miss 4 to 6 weeks with a hamstring injury, according to a report by ESPN NFL analyst Adam Shefter.
If Jefferson's injury heals quickly, his earliest return would be Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints.
Bears add Khalil Herbert, Equanimeous St. Brown to IR
The Bears announced Friday that running back Khalil Herbert and wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown were headed to injured reserve. Quarterback Nathan Peterman was activated withthe move, according to ESPN's Field Yates.
The earliest return for both players would be Week 10 when Chicago faces the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football.
With Rocshon Johnson (concussion) and Travis Homer (hamstring) also missing Week 6 with injuries, the Bears will likely deploy D'Onta Foreman and Darrynton Evans at running back.
