Chargers’ Joey Bosa not expected to be shut down for remainder of season

The Chargers have nothing to play for this season, as they have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. But that doesn’t mean that they’re going to keep one of their star players, who has been injured, off of the field for the remaining two games.

Edge defender Joey Bosa left last Thursday’s game with a concussion, which marked the second in an eight-week span. And while Bosa has been beat up with other various injuries, coach Anthony Lynn said that the team does not intend to shut him down for the rest of the season if he clears concussion protocol.

I said earlier that it would be wise to sit Bosa, especially when Los Angeles does not have anything on the line. If the team cares about his longevity, then they wouldn’t risk putting his body at risk in games that have zero significance.
