For the record: Chardon bounced back nicely from having its 31-game winning streak snapped by Riverside with a strong performance against Mayfield. This is another toughie for Chardon. ... Alex Henry continues to be the leader of the Chardon offense, running for 104 yards and throwing for 83 last week. The Hilltoppers' offense continues to be a work in progress. In the meantime, the defense has been spectacular. Trey Liebhardt had a 30-yard pick-six last week, linebackers Heath Fetchik and Mario Tolo each had 11 tackles and the front line that includes Alex Kisley and Cooper Felger is physical as can be. ... Kenston's defense flexed its muscles in a 14-7 win over Lake Catholic last week, shutting down the Cougars' running game. Linebacker Ben DiMarco & Co. will need to slow down Chardon's run game this week to have a shot. Offensively, Nikko Georgiou went over the 1,000-yard passing mark for the season last week, while Sean Patrick had another big game in all facets. ... This one will come down to the trenches. Can Kenston hang with the physicality of Chardon?
