Texas A&M basketball will travels approximately 100 miles south to take on an undefeated Cougars squad at the Houston Rockets' Toyota Center.

The Aggies' (7-3) 11th game of the college basketball season might be their toughest yet as they take on 10-0, third-ranked Houston. Texas A&M coach Buzz Williams will need a steady game plan in place to stifle guard LJ Cryer, whose prolific scoring abilities have led the Cougars in the early portion of the season. Cryer, a transfer from Baylor, averages 17.8 points and is taking a career-high 14.1 shots per game, 8.8 of those looks coming from beyond the arc.

The Aggies will look to bounce back from an 81-75 loss to Memphis on Dec. 10 as leading scorer Wade Taylor IV hit just 3 of his 14 attempts for nine points, despite averaging 17.1 points per game this season.

"To hold Wade Taylor to 3 for 14 and nine points is unheard of," Memphis coach Penny Hardaway said after the game.

Texas A&M will need to get Taylor going by playing with pace to allow the speedy guard to get downhill, forcing turnovers to lead to fast breaks. It will be no easy feat, as Houston averages 9.2 turnovers per game, the fewest in the Big 12.
