It's been a year to forget thus far for Michigan basketball, but coming off a massive win against Wisconsin, the Wolverines are hoping to find some late-season momentum.
It's mostly pride on the line as, barring a miracle Big Ten tournament run to end the year, there isn't really a path to the NCAA tournament for the second straight year. Next up, Michigan will play the Nebraska Cornhuskers, hoping to make it two wins in a row.
More heartening than Michigan's win over Wisconsin is the fashion in which it came down. With another second-half collapse seemingly in the works, Michigan was finally able to hold onto a lead and close out a win, something that has proven to be exceptionally difficult this season. It's the kind of win a team can build off of, even in a season where building feels extremely difficult.
Nebraska (16-8, 6-7 Big Ten) has lost two straight games after besting Wisconsin to begin the month. The Cornhuskers' last game was a loss to Northwestern.
