Clemson (15-2-3) beat Wake Forest 1-0 in the quarterfinals before getting past No. 9 Notre Dame 3-2 in Thursday's first semifinal. Megan Bornkamp opened the scoring with a 24th-minute goal, while a second-half goal by Tatum Short and a penalty kick by Caroline Conti kept the Irish at bay. Tigers goalie is tied for the NCAA lead with 13 shutouts.

These two teams met September 15 in Clemson. The Tigers scored the game's first two goals, but Dudley and Maria Alagoa evened the score before halftime, and Olsson and Echegini scored in the second half to give the Seminoles a 4-2 win.
