What channel is Duke vs. Morgan State softball on today? Time, TV schedule for NCAA Tournament game

Duke softball will look to continue its momentum from the ACC Tournament into the postseason — and the Blue Devils perhaps will have an extra ounce of fire to fuel themselves when they open play Friday in the Durham Regional.

Following an impressive championship title run in the conference tournament — which included wins over No. 21 Clemson and No. 14 Florida State — on top of just six losses on their resume this year, the Blue Devils seemed to be a lock for a top-eight national seed.

However, the Division I NCAA Softball selection committee tabbed Duke as a 10 seed, meaning it will have to have to travel on the road to play 7 seed Missouri should the Tigers and Blue Devils win their respective regionals. Duke will take on Morgan State in the first round of the 2024 NCAA Softball Tournament on Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Duke brings a top-five offense in the ACC — third in both runs (353) and RBIs (330) and fourth in both batting average (.326) and hits (454) — into the 2024 NCAA Softball Tournament. The offense is powered by the likes of Claire Davidson, Aminah Vega and D'Auna Jennings.

Hitting isn't the only strength of the Blue Devils, who are in pursuit of their first Women's College World Series title. Their pitching staff — Jala Wright, Cassidy Curd and Lillie Walker — posted the best ERA in the ACC this season at 1.57.

Morgan State went through a gauntlet of games in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tournament to get to Durham to face the Blue Devils. The Bears played and won five games in three days after dropping its opening-round game to N.C. Central University. Duke won the lone game in the all-time series against Morgan State in 2018.

The Blue Devils — who are hosting the regional round of the NCAA Tournament for just the third time in program history — will then face the winner of South Carolina vs. Utah on Saturday at 11 a.m. ET, assuming Duke beats Morgan State. If Duke falls to Morgan State, it will go up against the loser of the Gamecocks vs. Utes in a double-elimination contest.
