What channel is Dolphins vs. Chiefs on today? Time, TV schedule for NFL wild-card matchup

The NFL playoffs begin Saturday with a pair of wild-card round matchups that will determine which teams move one step closer to their Super Bowl dreams.

For Alabama fans, one of those games will be of particular interest. On Saturday night, the Miami Dolphins will hit the road to face off against the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

The Dolphins have five former Crimson Tide players on their roster, a group headlined by two of the most important pieces in the NFL’s top passing attack.

Former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will be making his first career playoff start (he missed last year’s loss to the Buffalo Bills with a season-ending injury) and will have the chance to connect with one of his former college teammates, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. This season, Tagovailoa, the former Heisman Trophy runner-up, has thrown for 4,624 yards, 29 touchdowns and 14 interceptions while Waddle has been one of his top targets, with 104 catches for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns.

Miami’s defense features former Tide standouts Raekwon Davis and Da’Shawn Hand, who have 28 and 17 tackles, respectively, this season.

The Chiefs have no former Alabama players on their active roster. Here's everything you need to know about the game, including time, date, TV and streaming info, and more:

What channel is Dolphins vs. Chiefs on today?

Saturday’s broadcast of Dolphins vs. Chiefs will have the unusual distinction of not airing on linear television.

The game will stream exclusively on Peacock, NBC’s streaming platform. Mike Tirico (play-by-play) and former Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett (analyst) will be on the call for the matchup. To access the game, a Peacock subscription is required. You can subscribe here.

The arrangement, which has drawn vocal criticism for not airing on a traditional network, is the product of a one-year deal between the NFL and NBCUniversal worth a reported $110 million.
