Celtics do not even make top 10 of HoopsHype’s NBA’s most interesting teams to watch in 2022-23

The Boston Celtics might still be favorites in Las Vegas to win it all in 2023, but at least according to HoopsHype’s Frank Urbina, they are a lot further than that from the most interesting team to watch. Per the H/H analyst, the Celtics do not even crack the top 10 most interesting teams to watch in 2022-23, checking in at a lowly 13th overall.

“This spot on the list might seem a bit low for the reigning Eastern Conference champions and for a team with a blossoming superstar, Jayson Tatum, and an All-Star partner on the wing in Jaylen Brown,” admits Urbina.

“Plus, the Boston Celtics should be dominant in the upcoming regular season as they were in the second half of last season,” he continues.

The reason behind such a relatively abysmal assessment? “We’ll just say Marcus Smart and his flopping antics hurt the team’s place on this ranking,” suggests Urbina.
