Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 3 game

Editor’s note: Follow all the NFL Week 3 action with USA TODAY Sports’ live coverage.

A battle in the Pacific Northwest will feature the Carolina Panthers (0-2) visiting the Seattle Seahawks (1-1).

No. 1 pick Bryce Young and the Panthers haven't had the ideal start to the 2023 season, as the offense has been unable to pick up any momentum in losses to division rivals Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints. But head coach Frank Reich still believes in his young signal caller and believes they can soon turn it around.

The Seahawks pulled off one of the biggest stunners of Week 2 by going into the home of the revamped Detroit Lions and stealing a win in overtime. The offense was able to pick apart the Detroit defense, and Seattle looks to be back on track toward contending for a playoff spot once again.

Lorenzo Reyes: Seahawks 26, Panthers 16

The Seahawks bounced back in Week 2 and should handle the Panthers without much issue. That said, I don’t love backing teams that are inconsistent and both of these squads are just that. I think your money is better off somewhere else.

Tyler Dragon: Seahawks 24, Panthers 16

The Seahawks’ overtime win in Detroit was impressive. But Seattle’s defense is having a difficult time stopping anybody. The Seahawks have a rookie quarterback coming to town this week. Bryce Young played better in Week 2, but he’s going to go through typical rookie growing pains.

Victoria Hernandez: Seahawks 23, Panthers 15

Bryce Young will have to wait a bit longer to get his first NFL win. The Seahawks have been struggling with injuries, but have great momentum after upsetting the Lions in Detroit. Even if DK Metcalf isn’t one hundred percent, Kenneth Walker III has been producing. On the defensive side, Bobby Wagner is second in the league with 28 tackles.

Jordan Mendoza: Seahawks 27, Panthers 16

Seattle looked like a playoff team in the big win against Detroit, while the Panthers still look like a team trying to dig themselves out of the NFC cellar. Seattle gets another big day from Geno Smith, while the defense continues to give Bryce Young headaches.
