Cardinals trail Seahawks by one in new USA TODAY power rankings

The Arizona Cardinals lost a disappointing game in Week 11 on the road against the Seattle Seahawks. Entering the week, the Cardinals ranked eighth in USA TODAY’s power rankings. After the loss, they fell three spots.

Davis has them now ranked 11th.

First-rounder Isaiah Simmons is slowly starting to establish himself, recording his first sack Thursday as his playing time finally trends upward.

Simmons’ play was a huge bright spot for the Cardinals in the loss to Seattle, who moved up four spots from 14th to 10th.

The Cardinals’ next opponent, the New England Patriots, fell four spots from No. 16 to No. 20.

The Los Angeles Rams, whom the Cardinals play twice in the final five weeks of the season and who currently lead the NFC West, were propelled five spots up to No. 4 in the league. The Cardinals will have to beat the Rams at least once to have any shot at winning the division.
