Cardinals place 2 on IR, claim rookie LB off waivers

The Arizona Cardinals announced some roster moves on Friday following their final practice of the week and before traveling to Philadelphia for their Sunday game against the Eagles.

They placed two players on injured reserve, a move that was expected, and added a linebacker to the roster on a waiver claim.

After missing a game and playing two games with a heel injury, his season is over.

DL Jonathan Ledbetter placed on injured reserve

Ledbetter injured his knee on Sunday against the Bears. His season is now over.

Cardinals claim LB Trevor Nowaske

The Cardinals were awarded a waiver claim for Nowaske, released by the Detroit Lions.

He is an undrafted rookie out of Saginaw State. He appeared in two games for the Lions, getting one tackle in 35 special teams snaps.

He is an off-ball linebacker listed at 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds.
