Cardinals land pass rusher in new mock draft
With the Arizona Cardinals’ playoff hopes all but dead and currently slated to have a top-10 pick in the 2023 NFL draft, we can start to look at mock drafts.
A new mock draft from Touchdown Wire’s Doug Farrar as the Cardinals landing a pass rusher with the eighth overall pick.
They land Clemson edge defender Myles Murphy.
The 6-5, 275-lb pass rusher has had 6.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss in 2022. He had eight and 14.5 last year and four and 10.5 in 2020.
The Cardinals have not used a first-round pick on an edge defender in years. They drafted two in the third round last year and Markus Golden still is under contract next season, but a team can never have too many good pass rushers.
