Buffalo Bills at Washington Commanders: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 3 game

Two of the highest scoring teams from Week 2 will face off Sunday as the Buffalo Bills (1-1) will visit the Washington Commanders (2-0).

After a disastrous performance on "Monday Night Football," Buffalo recovered with a dominant effort against the Las Vegas Raiders. The defense caused fits for Jimmy Garoppolo and Josh Jacobs, and Josh Allen turned around his poor Week 1 four turnover game with three touchdowns while not turning the ball over.

The offense in Washington is looking bright with Eric Bieniemy, as the Commanders showcased how far it can go with 35 points in its Week 2 win over the Denver Broncos. The defense looked shaky, which included giving up a last second Hail Mary to give Denver a chance to send the game to overtime. Luckily, Washington was able to prevent the two-point conversion, and will look for its first 3-0 start since 2005.

Lorenzo Reyes: Bills 30, Commanders 22

Washington showed it could battle back when it dropped 35 on the Broncos in a comeback victory, but the Bills are a much stronger team. Buffalo’s problem is consistency, turnovers and abandoning the rushing game with players not named Josh Allen. As long as they stick to the script, the Bills should cover.

Tyler Dragon: Bills 28, Commanders 20

The undefeated Commanders have been a revelation to begin the year. Commanders offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy deserves a lot of credit. But the Bills will hand Washington its first loss of the season.

Victoria Hernandez: Bills 30, Commanders 20

The Bills are still inconsistent, but looked back in their playoff-contender form last week as they handled the Raiders. Sam Howell is growing in confidence and upset Russell Wilson last week, but the Bills defense is led by the always-ready Matt Milano and shouldn’t have a problem capturing this win.

Jordan Mendoza: Bills 31, Commanders 23

Expect an offensive shootout with these two teams, but the Bills defense is better equipped to make stops and prevent Washington from getting a late lead. It was refreshing to see Josh Allen rebound from a bad game, and he has solid performance on the road to lead to a win.
