Bucs reveal uniform combo for Week 17 vs. Saints

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had only worn red once before their Week 16 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now that it’s the holiday season, the team seems a bit more open to it.

The Bucs wore red over pewter in their big Christmas Eve win against the Jaguars, and when they go to play the New Orleans Saints in a game that could see them clinch the NFC South and head to the playoffs, they’ll wear it again — the team announced Thursday it intends to wear red over pewter for the second week in a row when they play on New Year’s Eve.

Tampa Bay has only worn this specific combo once this year, of course, so they’re just 1-0 when wearing it. If you count just the red jerseys, the team is 1-1, as it wore them in Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football and lost that game. Fans have gotten their wish with Tampa Bay wearing more red, so it will be interesting to see how long the team keeps it up — especially if they make the playoffs.
