Bucs make it official, announce signing of WR Julio Jones

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made it official Wednesday, announcing the signing of free agent wide receiver Julio Jones to a one-year contract.

A seven-time Pro Bowler, Jones joins the Bucs after spending 10 of his 11 NFL seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, having put up big numbers as a division rival. He spent the 2021 season with the Tennessee Titans.

Jones, 33, joins an already star-studded wide receiver room that features another pair of Pro Bowlers in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, as well as one of Jones’ former Falcons teammates in Russell Gage.

Now that his signing is official, Jones is expected to take part in Tampa Bay’s training camp practice Thursday.
