Browns designate LB Jordan Kunaszyk to return from IR, sign S Duron Harmon

The Cleveland Browns made two moves Wednesday ahead of Week 12.

The team designated linebacker Jordan Kunaszyk to return from injured reserve and also signed veteran safety Duron Harmon to the practice squad.

Kunaszyk, 27, has mostly played special teams throughout his career and played in 79 percent of the Browns’ special teams snaps in 2022. He previously played for the Carolina Panthers and Washington Commanders.

The Browns released Kunaszyk after the 2022 season but re-signed him this past offseason. Kunaszyk went to injured reserve on Aug. 31 after he suffered a knee injury in Cleveland’s final preseason game.

Harmon, 32, is an 11-year veteran who played in three games for the Chicago Bears this season. He previously played his first seven years with the New England Patriots before one-year stints with the Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons and Las Vegas Raiders. Harmon has registered 407 combined tackles, 23 interceptions and 43 defended passes in 164 career games.

Earlier this week, the Browns also placed safety Rodney McLeod on season-ending injured reserve and released running back John Kelly Jr. from the practice squad.
