Brooklyn Nets highlights: Nets fall to 76ers in preseason opener

The Brooklyn Nets kicked off the NBA preseason at home on Monday night, and though the result was a lopsided loss to the rival Philadelphia 76ers, there were plenty of positives from the opener.

Nets coach Steve Nash gave a lot of minutes to various role players, including Edmond Sumner, who finished with 12 points, and newcomer Yuta Watanabe who slid into the rotation at center.

Nets captain Kevin Durant played very well and was ecstatic about getting back on the hardwood. In the post-game interview Durant said, “Always good to get back to playing basketball. It’s the best job that anybody could ask for.”
