KRYSTEN PEEK: Bronny James has declared for the NBA draft, while maintaining his college eligibility, and has also entered the transfer portal.

The 6' 2" freshman guard averaged 4.8 points and 2.1 assists in his one year at USC and had a remarkable return to basketball after suffering cardiac arrest and undergoing surgery in August.

His dad, LeBron, has said numerous times that he wants to end his career playing alongside his son. And, although, Bronny is far from a finished product, there is a chance he could stay in this year's draft class.

The Lakers have a late second round pick. And Bronny will most likely only work out and meet with a small amount of teams. If he does decide to return for one more year of college hoops, he has plenty of options. Former USC head coach Andy Enfield took the job at SMU. Oregon and Ohio State were also in the mix for Bronny during his recruitment.

USC just hired former Arkansas coach Eric Musselman. And he will likely also meet with Bronny before he makes his decision. Bronny has the most unique situation out of any player in this draft class. And with this being a weaker draft and more wide open, if workouts and team meetings go well, Bronny could stay in this draft class and play alongside his dad next year as the first father-son duo in NBA history.
