Brian Rose Baseball 15U wins the 2023 All American Lighthouse championship
The Brian Rose 15U baseball team recently won the All American Lighthouse Classic championship in Old Orchard Beach in Maine, going 6-0-1 during the four-day tournament and taking home first place out of 28 teams.
Landon Cardoza was named tournament MVP.
Cardoza and Evan Lamontagne combined to throw a no-hitter to win Game 1.
In Game 3, Matty Taylor threw another no-hitter as BRB won 2-0. Cardoza pitched the final game, throwing all five innings and allowing just one hit with six strikeouts for an 11-1 victory.
Ryan Pires threw a complete game, allowing no runs with eight strikeouts.
The team racked up some big offensive numbers for the tournament.
Drew Taylor hit .375 with six RBIs while Brock Winslow hit .368 with five RBIs. Boston Bettencourt hit .353 with 10 runs scored while Blake Christopher hit .353 and caught all seven games. Kamdyn Rego hit .300 with six RBIs.
Brian Rose 15U (9-1-1) will compete at Baseball Heaven in Long Island, NY from July 7-10.
