Brian Robinson Jr. says ‘surgery went well’

Washington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson took to Instagram to update everyone on his condition after suffering gunshot wounds in an attempted carjacking on Sunday.

“Surgery went well! Thanks for the prayers! God is great,” Robinson said on Instagram Monday.

Washington head coach Ron Rivera met with the media after practice on Monday morning, where he discussed Robinson.

Rivera said Robinson was “doing well” and in a “really good place,” according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post. Rivera was among several members of the Washington organization who were present at the hospital on Sunday, including owners Daniel and Tanya Snyder, president Jason Wright and general manager Martin Mayhew.
