Brevard County high school cross country district results 2023
Addison Elwell, Cape Coast Conference girls cross country winner, added a District 5-4A title on Saturday in Kissimmee, running the 5,000-meter course in 18:30.1. Melbourne's girls had the higher team finish, placing second, which matched the Hawks boys.
Satellite swept the District 7-3A team titles the same day in Stuart, posting four of the top nine boys finishers and five of the top nine girls. Eau Gallie's Nicholas Hernandez, with a time of 16:53.0, was the individual boys winner, and Brooke Yates of Merritt Island (18:53.1) was the No. 1 girls finisher.
Astronaut's boys won the District 4-2A meet at Wickham Park on Thursday. The War Eagles placed runners at No. 5, 7 and 8 in the standings. Madison Carr led the War Eagles girls as the district runner-up with a time of 18:50.21.
Holy Trinity won the District 4-1A boys crown on Wednesday in Daytona Beach.
Teams will compete in regional meets during the coming week, and the top finishers advance to the state meet in Tallahassee on Nov. 17.
