Breaking down the brackets: MIAA releases tennis state tournament field

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association state tournament is here.

The MIAA release the first playoff brackets of the spring season on Saturday with boys and girls tennis.

For the boys, Martha's Vineyard has the highest seeding at fifth in Division 3, while Sturgis West also has a top 10 place at eighth in Div. 4. Monomoy and Falmouth (preliminary) will also host a first round playoff game, while Barnstable, Nantucket, Nauset, Cape Cod Academy and Mashpee will travel on the road to start the postseason.

For the girls, the unbeaten St. John Paull II lead the way at the fifth spot in Div. 3, while Monomoy also landed a spot in the top 10 as the 10th seed in Div. 4. Cape Cod Academy, Nantucket and Nauset (preliminary) will also host their first playoff game, while Falmouth, Martha's Vineyard, Mashpee and Sturgis East will hit the road to begin its postseasons.
