Boys track and field preview: Esko Eskomos

Returning athletes: Seniors Keone Anderson, Michael Cornell, Jerimiah Foucault, Chad Hart, Niko Martineau, Jack McWilliams, and Nate Rengo; juniors Jordan Chopskie, Talon Clifford, Ben Meysembourg, Fernando Scott, Wyatt Stankiewicz, Evan Thompson, Nolan Witt and Carter Zezulka; sophomores Gino Bertogliat, Spencer Hipp, Dylan Putzke and Ethan Putzke; freshman Alec Halvorson.

New faces: Seniors Mason Perich, Braden Lowe and Brett Lillo; junior Javonte Gregory and sophomore Makoi Perich.

Team Strengths: "(We have an) experienced distance team who participated in the state cross country meet, (and a) returning state high jumper (9th place) Carter Zezulka," Esko coach Gary Beaudot said. "Hopefully (we have) enough depth to put together a relay or two. We have great numbers (42) in grades 9-12!"

Biggest Challenge: "We are very inexperienced at the state level," Beaudot said. "Trying to get new athletes to enjoy track will take some time. (I'm) hoping the weather starts to cooperate!"

"(We're) hoping to be competitive at the conference, section and state level," Beaudot said.
