Boys hoops roundup: Everhart makes school-record nine 3-pointers for Cardinal Mooney

Here are some notable results from Friday's boys high school basketball games in the Blue Water Area.

Cardinal Mooney 81, Algonac 55

History was made at Cardinal Mooney, where Brian Everhart dropped 44 points and set a program record with nine 3-pointers in one game. The Cardinals improved to 4-2.

Almont 50, Roscommon 39

Owen Rayl scored 16 points to lead Almont (6-2). Jason Lane followed with 10 points.

The Raiders travel to Richmond at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Caro 58, Peck 40

Thomas West led Peck (4-3) with 19 points. The Pirates are idle until Jan. 5, 2024, when they visit Deckerville.

L'Anse Creuse 73, Croswell-Lexington 46

Gavin Espinoza totaled 18 points for Cros-Lex (4-4). Cody Metevier contributed 13 points.

The Pioneers head to Imlay City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Yale 66, Port Huron 53

Three players scored in double figures for Yale (7-1), including Jackson Kohler, who finished with 21 points. Ryan Monarch added 13 points and Ryan Fisher contributed 12.

The Bulldogs travel to North Branch at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Jovan Foy led Port Huron (4-4) with 18 points while Garrett James had 17. The Red Hawks host St. Clair at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Marlette 56, Peck 50 (Thursday)

Quintin Sartin dropped a game-high 21 points for Marlette (3-4). Tyler Izydorek added 10 points.

Thomas West finished with 16 points for Peck. Carsten Lieblang chipped in 11 points.

Sandusky 70, Deckerville 45 (Thursday)

Braden Bender scored 15 points to lead Sandusky (4-3). Jack Betts and Tyler Bush each had 10 points.

The Wolves visit Harbor Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
