Boys basketball: A 50-point game, tournament MVP up for V845 players of week
Online voting for the Varsity 845 boys basketball player of the week is now open. Go to RecordOnline.com/sports and vote as often as you like until 9 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6. (no computer bot voting, please).
Nominations are pulled from reports to Varsity 845 and other sources. Players from Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties are eligible. One player per school is permitted during each week.
The winner will be announced via X / Twitter @Varsity845. Previous winners can become eligible again once the postseason has begun.

The junior forward scored 24 points in a 69-66 win over Onteora on Dec. 19.
Isaiah Boucher, Port Jervis
The senior guard had a monster week before Christmas. First, he scored 50 points in a 68-42 win over Liberty on Dec. 18. Three nights later, he scored 30 in a 69-42 win over Pine Bush on Dec. 21.
Andre Jenkins, Chester
The senior guard scored 23 points in a 64-44 win over Sullivan West on Dec. 20.
Jason Kincscy, Ellenville
The senior guard tallied 29 point in a 64-26 win over Pine Plains on Dec. 19.
Christopher Pearson, Monroe-Woodbury
The senior guard scored 28 points in an 85-50 win over Beacon on Dec. 21.
Armando Perez, Valley Central
The senior guard tallied 29 points in a 65-52 win over Goshen on Dec. 21.
Noah Stern, Onteora
The senior forward posted 22 points in a 65-41 win over Rondout Valley on Dec. 21.
Ke’Montae Thawe, Kingston
The senior guard scored 23 points in a 55-42 win over Shenendehowa on Dec. 21.

Jack Demetriow, Cornwall
The junior swingman has found his shooting stroke. He scored 22 points in back-to-to back wins over Liberty, 67-34, on Dec. 27, and in a 68-40 victory over Wallkill on Dec. 28.
Cayden Dones, New Paltz
The sophomore guard was named all-tournament at the Duane Davis tourney. He scored 32 points in an 83-78 loss to John Jay-East Fishkill on Dec. 29.
Elnathan Johnson, Newburgh
The senior guard posted 19 points in a 77-67 loss to Albany CBA on Dec. 30.
Trai Kaufmann, Eldred
The sophomore guard stuffed the stat box with 23 points, five steals, four reb and three blocks in a 63-36 loss to Millbrook on Dec. 28.
Zion Lynch, Washingtonville
The senior forward scored 32 points in a 78-33 win over Liberty on Dec. 28, earning all-tournament honors.
McCoy Rothe, Saugerties
He scored 19 points in a 56-46 loss to Burnt Hills on Dec. 27.
Latrell Willis, Warwick
The senior forward was named MVP of Ranger Holiday tournament in New Jersey as Warwick prevailed over Wallkill Valley 58-42 on Dec. 29.
