Boys basketball roundup: Cros-Lex, Imlay City get back on track
Here are some notable results from Tuesday's boys high school basketball games in the Blue Water Area.
Croswell-Lexington 50, Richmond 36
A well-balanced scoring attack helped Cros-Lex (3-1) prevail. Cameron Franzel posted 12 points, Cameron Saunders added 11 and James Krampits had 10. The Pioneers host North Branch at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Justin Smalls totaled 14 points to lead Richmond (1-2). The Blue Devils welcome Yale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Imlay City 66, Armada 54
Four players scored in double figures for Imlay City (5-1), including Zander Nash, who dropped 18 points. Matt Evans had 16 points, Landon Jones contributed 11 and Isaac Sommer added 10. The Spartans host Detroit Douglass at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Lucas Pratt posted a game-high 31 points for Armada (0-3). The Tigers entertain Almont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Port Huron Northern 51, Chippewa Valley 41
Amir Morelan registered 12 points and five assists for Port Huron Northern (3-1). Malik Thompson also finished with 12 points.
The Huskies travel to Warren Lincoln at 7 p.m. on Friday.
St. Clair 66, Cardinal Mooney 47
Evan Trudeau scored 18 points for St. Clair (4-1). Braylon Frantz followed with 16 points. The Saints welcome St. Clair Shores Lakeview at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Brian Everhart led Cardinal Mooney (2-1) with a game-high 30 points. The Cardinals visit Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Yale 61, Marine City 40
Ryan Monarch led all scorers with 19 points for Yale (4-0). Connor Jakubiak chipped in 18 points while Andrew Hubbard and Jackson Kohler each had nine. The Bulldogs visit Richmond at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Johnny Handed posted 16 points for Marine City (1-4). Liam Adams grabbed 14 rebounds and added four points. The Mariners travel to Madison Heights Madison at 7 p.m. on Friday.
