Boston’s Marcus Smart thinks Draymond Green ‘made a mistake’ with the Jordan Poole fight

No stranger to being under the microscope of the media after events not of his own making brought unwanted attention to a team trying to get ready to contend for a title, Boston Celtics veteran point guard had some words to share about the incident between Golden State Warriors star forward Draymond Green and shooting guard Jordan Poole after practice on Sunday.

Smart talked about how often fiery moments happen behind the scenes at practice and reacted to Green punching Poole at practice last week. Smart said the Warriors swingman made a mistake as a leader and that it’ll take some professionalism to move on, as is always the case when things get physical between teammates.

The Flower Mound native also discussed his ankle, oblique, and other physical ailments from the summer, and said he and the other guards of the team have been more involved in screening.
