Is the Boston Celtics’ 2022-23 campaign ruined before it even begins?
The Boston Celtics got to work quickly in the offseason after losing the 2022 NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors, and they put together one of the best offseasons in the league by picking up Malcolm Brogdon and Danilo Gallinari. So they thought.
Soon after, Gallinari was injured. Starting center Robert Williams III soon followed. The came an even bigger bombshell: Head coach Ime Udoka was suspended for the season for violating team policies. Almost lost in the tumult of that scandal came the news just before training camp that Timelord’s likely absence was going to be roughly double the initial assessment.
Is the Celtics’ 2022-23 campaign ruined by this series of unfortunate events before it even begins?
The folks over at the Hoops Reference YouTube channel put together a video exploring exactly this question. Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say.
