Blue Jays Roundup: Soccer dismantles Williston

Sep. 16—JAMESTOWN — Three games in five days made for a week the Jamestown High School boys soccer team had to gut out.

The Blue Jays capped off their three-game week with an 8-1 win over Williston on Saturday afternoon. Jamestown went 2-0-1 on the week and now stands at 8-0-2 overall.

"This game was a complete team effort," JHS head coach Brandi Harty said. "They finished off a very tough week with a win and I am very proud of them."

The plethora of scoring started in the eighth minute. Henry Yolain connected on a pass from Connor Traut to make it a 1-0 game. Iddi Ramadhani followed up the initial score with a goal of his own in the 17th minute.

Jackson Steele, Ian Lere, Traut, Ryan Larson and Riley Ask scored in the second half.

The Blue Jays outshot the Coyotes 18-8.

"Now we get ready to prepare for our next game," Harty said.

The Jays are set to host Bismarck Century on Tuesday. The game is slated to kick off at 7:30 p.m.
