No one could skate near center ice at Lausanne's CIG de Malley arena because, well, the scoreboard was lowered and unable to be raised.

According to RTS Sport, the scoreboard was lowered before the game to make a repair, but a computer glitch caused it to remain in that position. A crane was even brought out onto the ice, but even that attempt failed.
After nearly a two-hour delay the game was postponed. Both Lausanne and Geneve play Saturday night, so a makeup date has to be found between the side.
Lausanne isn't scheduled for another home game until Wednesday night's tilt vs. Fribourg.
