Pass or Fail: Nashville Predators' new yellow helmets

The Nashville Predators hosted the Edmonton Oilers in SMASHVILLE on Saturday night with a slightly new look: Rather than the dark blue helmets they’ve had in the past, they rocked bright yellow lids.

They’re less amazing Swedish Thor helmets than the classic Los Angeles Kings crowns or the adorable dandelion hats of the Vancouver Canucks during the flying-V days.

At best, they create a unique color palette in the NHL, although the evoke an offensively aggressive table hockey team at times. At worst, they look like they’re preparing for that French’s sponsorship when we get ads on jerseys.

Overall, not the worst look we’ve seen in our years. But let’s just hope the season goes well; we’d hate to see the Predators put on a piss-poor effect in these lids.

What do you think?
