Ducks' 'Military Appreciation Night' features puck-dropping robot (Video)

Before Wednesday’s Anaheim Ducks and Edmonton Oilers game, fans at Honda Center were treated to a unique ceremonial puck drop. As part of Military Appreciation Night, the TALON Hazmat robot of the California National Guard helped with the pre-game festitivities.

The robot delivered a clean puck drop, and neither Ryan Getzlaf or Jordan Eberle were over-exhuberant about winning the draw and kept themselves from getting booted from the circle.

Military Appreciation Night also featured the Ducks wearing camoflauge jerseys during warmups, a food drive to help the homeless and at-risk veterans, members of the armed forces being saluting during the game and taking part in intermission games on the ice,  as well as four members of the U.S. Army rappelling down from the arena rafters:
