DeMarcus Cousins makes odd comments after buzzer-beating win

The Kings defeated the Suns on Sunday in dramatic fashion on a DeMarcus Cousins 19-foot jumper at the buzzer 85-83 at Sleep Train Arena and his post game remarks were just as dramatic.

"I ain't pumped up, I just got a lot on my mind," Cousins said. "Crazy thing about it, I just got a question for ya'll, I just wanna know how you're gonna stop God's plan. How are you gonna do that? How are you gonna do that? This city put through me so much, I stayed loyal to it the whole time.

"God gives the hardest battles to the strongest souls. The marathon continues. I'm out."

As the weekend has evolved, multiple reports have indicated that it is Cousins’ representation that has been the roadblock to Sacramento hiring George Karl as its new head coach.

The Kings (18-32) are now 7-19 under Corbin since he took over for the fired Michael Malone, who had formed a tight bond with Cousins.

Recently named an All-Star team for the first time, Cousins -- known for his fiery demeanor -- admitted in a candid postgame media session Thursday after a loss to the Warriors that this was “absolutely” the most frustrated he’s been in during his four-and-a-half year tenure in Sacramento.

Sunday probably topped that sentiment as the uncertainty over the Kings' coaching situation continues to cloud the team.

Multiple media reports indicate that a decision on Karl replacing Corbin is imminent, as both parties continue to engage in dialogue.
